The dumbest but funniest comedies

An uncomplicated plot, a weak parody, flat humor – something like this is how the audience imagines the dumbest American comedies. However, this genre can be called a kind of classic, which has enough fans. Ideal leisure is watching the films presented in this review.

Scary Movie (2000)

Opening the list is an upscale parody that has become a cult film for all time. American cinema has released a lot of similar films, but no one has been able to repeat the success of Scary Movie.

Kick-Ass (2010)

The TOP 10 stupid American comedies deservedly include a hilarious parody of superhero movies. Dave Lizewski loves comics and sincerely believes that one desire to help people is enough to save the world. Characters in popular pictures have superpowers, but Dave doesn’t need them. A green wetsuit with a mask, ordered on the Internet, the pseudonym “Kick-Ass” – and you can safely bring goodness to the masses.

Despite dubious victories in street fights and regular injuries, Dave becomes an Internet star. Real superheroes pay attention to the impostor – the girl Killer and her father Papanya. To complete the company, they lack such a desperate guy who will help to turn out a large-scale operation to destroy the criminal leader.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)

Jay and Silent Bob’s favorite pastime is to stand against the wall of the local convenience store selling soft drugs. The criminal business brings them a good income, and friends do not expect more from life. One not very fine day, the friends find out that they are the prototypes of a popular comic book, on the basis of which the Miramax company is going to make a film.

After reviewing the plot, Jay and Bob note a lot of inconsistencies – and decide to disrupt the shooting so that their honest names are not tarnished with shame. The Internet already has enough offensive reviews about the comic strip “Pyhar and Chronic”, and the film is able to completely destroy the life and reputation of friends.

Brave Peppers (2011)

The list of the most stupid American comedies was replenished with a picture with the participation of Hollywood stars. The legend tells of a brave and courageous prince named Slavy, who went in search of his beloved. The royal bride has been treacherously kidnapped, and the mission of any self-respecting knight is to save beautiful maidens and exterminate fire-breathing dragons.

That’s just the brother of the protagonist Zavidy does not think so. His laziness has gone so far that he prefers to avoid both fabulous creatures and all other life problems. The princes of the Unylsky kingdom must defeat the evil sorcerer Lizar – the prophecy says. And even with the great mysterious writings, Zavidius is ready to argue so as not to go on a dangerous path.

Movie 43 (2013)

The comedy picture is a movie almanac, consisting of 12 stories – all of them are intertwined with each other not only with mind-blowing jokes. The plot is based on the search for the mysterious movie “Movie 43”, which Baxter learned about from his friends. JJ and Kelvin uploaded their video to the advanced channel, but instead of the well-deserved fame and recognition, they get inflated views.

In such an uncomplicated way, Baxter decided to play a trick on the upstarts – and the friends decide to take revenge on the “humorist”. They come up with a legend about a non-existent scary movie being hunted by the CIA and the FBI, but Baxter seeks to get ahead of the special services by any means .

Old school (2003)

In comedies with blunt American humor, there is often a useful moral, as is the case with this film. Bernie, Frank, and Mitch are facing a midlife crisis, but they’re dealing with the problem in their own way. It seems to them that life is passing by, everything good and bright is left in the past, and sheer boredom awaits ahead. People around expect responsible decisions from an adult man: creating a family, a prestigious job and a successful career.

Such a scenario makes the friends sad to death – and they decide to go out for the last time to the fullest. Friends rent a huge house near the college where they studied in their youth, and create a “student fraternity” there. As in the good old days, when their fame thundered far beyond the boundaries of the educational institution.

Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)

Four friends go to a ski resort to get away from their daily problems and somehow restore their peace of mind. Jacob completely withdrew into himself and closed himself off from the outside world. Each of the friends will not interfere with support, but it comes from a completely unexpected side. A seemingly ordinary jacuzzi takes the four back 20 years, where everyone has an amazing opportunity to influence their own destiny. However, along with a rare chance comes an understanding: any intervention in the past threatens to destroy the time continuum.

Complete the story (2013)

Revenge is the perfect subject for the plot of the dumbest and funniest comedy. Netan is the lead marketing specialist for a very promising company. His straightforwardness, honesty and kindness interfere with career advancement, and one day become the reason for dismissal.

During a demonstration of an energy-efficient car, Netan sharply criticizes his superiors, trying to prove that no one in their right mind would buy a car called “Howard”. The next day after the dismissal, the fame and profit of the company literally skyrockets, but the man is out of work. After 9 years, Netan returns to take revenge, but he suffers more from the “villainous plans”, and not his offenders.

Scott Pilgrim vs. Everyone (2010)

Scott is a classic loser. Each new day copies the previous one, and leisure consists of playing the guitar in a hopeless band. Everything changes when Pilgrim meets the beautiful Ramona. For the sake of first love, teenagers decide on any follies, but Scott surpassed the most courageous and desperate guys in the fight for the girl of his dreams.

To win Ramona’s favor, he will have to fight her former suitors, and there are not so few of them. The League of Seven Evil Guys is ready to confront the newcomer, but he is not going to give up either. Need to fight strong opponents? Scott is already here. The whole world is up in arms against a teenager ? For a guy in love, this is not a problem.

Let’s Go to Jail (2006)

The film made it to the list of the best dumb American comedies thanks to its unrivaled screenplay. John Liszycki’s life has gone downhill since childhood – and all because of the principled judge Nelson Biederman. At all three court hearings, he passed the most severe sentence possible, and John received his first term at the age of 8.

After his release, Liszicki burns with a thirst for revenge, but shortly before the fateful meeting, Biderman dies of natural causes. John develops a new plan – this time the judge’s son is at gunpoint. Lishitsky is ready for any deeds and tricks, and even the arrest of the younger Biderman is not able to put an end to the protracted vendetta.
