The film takes place in the 1930s. The already aged Hercule Poirot begins to receive strange letters in which the criminal shares his intentions with the detective. The mysterious maniac plays not only with Hercule, but also with the police , leaving an alphabetical railway guide with one marked letter next to the victims. And so far this is the only clue.

Witness for the Prosecution (TV series 2016)

This series based on the novel by Agatha Christie produced in the UK was included in the list of the best detective thrillers of the last decade. The Mysterious Murders of Agatha Christie (TV series 2009 – 2021)

What will happen if the English detective is presented in the form of a comedy film and the shooting is entrusted to the French? It will turn out a cool TV show about investigations with a portion of black humor and French charm. The investigation is led by the stubborn idealist police inspector Larosière and his slow but knowledgeable assistant Lampion. The film takes place in the 1930s. Together, the two partners form a kind of tandem, solving crimes and solving personal problems along the way.

Big Alibi (2008)

Another free foreign adaptation of the novel by Agatha Christie takes the viewer with the help of French filmmakers into a rather piquant situation. In a luxurious villa, by coincidence, the psychoanalyst Pierre and his wife and several of his mistresses are in the same company. The next day there is a murder. The victim is an unfaithful husband, and the prime suspect is his cheated wife.
