Perfect Life (2018)

The Strange Case of Angelica (2010)

A list of the best films from Portugal cannot be complete without an original work from the classic of Portuguese cinema, Manuel de Oliveira, who was 102 years old at the time of filming the fantasy . Bones (1997)

The acute social drama was included in the top ten European films of 1998 – according to film critics. The plot tells about the inhabitants of the slums of Lisbon, their daily problems and desperate attempts to get out of poverty. In the center of the film is a young couple, where the girl suffers from suicidal tendencies. They have a child, but the parents do not know what to do with it, because poverty and hopelessness already deprive residents of disadvantaged areas of the chance for a better future.
