The cat also loves the mouse, as the proverb says, and films about toxic relationships confirm folk wisdom. Yes, love stories inspire and evoke the best emotions and feelings in us – but there is another side to the coin. Some relationships become truly poisonous, poisoning the lives of partners, fettering them with a vice of selfishness, obsession and the desire to subjugate the personality of the beloved to their will.

Berlin Syndrome (2016)
