“Cube” is one of the most intriguing and mysterious representatives of its genre.

The plot is built around characters who wake up in an unfamiliar closed space, and do not remember how they got there. Trying to escape from a frightening place, the captives are faced with quite sophisticated traps. If watching a sci-fi thriller made a lasting impression on you, then check out a few equally intricate films like Cuba.

Death Room (2008)

Four volunteers agree to participate in a classified experiment in exchange for a monetary reward. The test subjects are locked in one room, and soon active people in white coats begin to conduct alarming tests on them. The heroes understand with horror that after each stage of testing, one of them will face an unenviable fate.

The main similarity is that the characters got into an isolated room and realized that they were in a deadly trap.

Within a few minutes, the guests realize that the owner of the mansion has locked them. From these moments, Iris and her new acquaintances are involuntarily drawn into a cruel game.

In some scenes, the film is similar to “Cube”: Iris also, with all her desire, cannot get out of the death trap. In both pictures, the central characters were not previously known.

Fans of films like “Cube” and various puzzles will most likely appreciate Renny Harlin’s film. Events unfold similarly: the heroes have become prisoners of a dangerous place, and cannot leave it of their own free will. Gradually, each character opens up from an unexpected side.
