10 Movies Similar to Happy Death Day

After a wild party, flippant college student Trish wakes up in the bed of the underdog Carter.

Disappointed by this fact, the girl goes home and begins preparing for the holiday in honor of her birthday, but in the evening she is killed by an unknown maniac. To her horror, the next morning she finds herself at Carter’s again, and the day passes and ends in the same way as the previous one. Realizing that she has fallen into a time loop, Trish wants to figure out the maniac. The plot is intriguing, but similar stories can be seen in other films like Happy Death Day.

The story begins in a similar way: the main characters wake up and soon find themselves in a whirlwind of dangerous situations leading to their death, but the next morning everything repeats again. Recovering from their shock, the characters try to save themselves by using their previous knowledge of the sequence of events on that fateful day.

The films are similar in that the morning of the main character begins the same way and ends tragically. She becomes a hostage of one day, and wants to fix the situation. There are also obvious cardinal changes in the characters of each of the girls who realized that before they were too superficial.

Doug Karlin is an experienced agent investigating the circumstances of the death of an unknown woman. Studying this case, the detective feels a kind of deja vu, and an incomprehensible connection with the deceased. He has a chance to return to the recent past, where Claire was still alive, and try to save her.

In certain episodes, the stories of both films are very similar. If in “Happy Death Day” Trish found herself in the past and tried to save her life, then Doug makes this journey to save other people. In both versions, the protagonist knows how everything will happen next, and, starting from this knowledge, he plans to carry out his plan.
