American Gigolo – when is the release date?

The American film industry has found a new way to create TV series, making sequels to cult pictures from many years ago. Another such project was the show American Gigalo, created as a sequel to the film of the same name with Richard Gere, released in 1980. The picture was marked by positive criticism, which was the reason to remove the sequel because its main character Julian Kay was undeservedly put in an unenviable position, and the culprit remained unpunished and unnamed. The plot of the show is about a man named Julian Kay. He is a resident of Los Angeles, and his job is to provide sexual services to women who can afford it. The hero is not lacking in money, he is, handsome, smart, and dates beautiful women. His life looks like a dream to many, but suddenly everything goes wrong when Julian is accused of murdering his client.

The man has an alibi – he was with someone else, but being the wife of a famous politician, the woman doesn’t agree to testify, forcing the guy to go to prison for 15 years. The novel, whose release date is expected in 2022, will tell about his life after incarceration.

Julian Kaye serves his full sentence and tries to get back to his old life. He realizes that he has been framed, but sees no reason for it. The hero decides to return to his hometown and find himself again in the field of sexual services, because he knows nothing else, and the reasons for his misadventures obviously lie in it. Work on the sequel began back in 2014 when Hollander expressed a desire to continue the story.
