In October 2022, the AMC television channel released the Vampire Interview series, an adaptation of Anne Rice’s first book in the Vampire Chronicles series. The controversial project was not accepted by all fans, but this did not stop the channel from continuing to develop the newfound universe. In 2020, AMC announced the purchase of the rights to all of the writer’s novels, whose number is 18. They combine two cycles about otherworldly creatures – vampires and werewolves.

In buying the film rights, the parties agreed that Anne Rice would be the executive producer of the universe show, which the writer agreed to do. The second project in the otherworldly universe is about the witches of New Orleans. The Mayfair Witches series release date is set for January 5, 2023.
At the center of the plot is the Mayfair family. Since ancient times they have lived in New Orleans, where they have earned a scandalous reputation as witches, and quite deservedly so. Few dedicated people know that the Mayfair sisters are closely related to the mysterious man Lasher, who provides for their well-being. A number of rumors claim that Lesher is not human, but no one is willing to test the hypothesis. What connection the Mayfair family girls have with the mysterious Lasher and who the man is will be revealed in a novel from AMC, whose release date is set for January 5, 2023.

The development of the project was first talked about in 2020, when AMC struck a deal to buy the rights. Anne Rice said that she dreamed of seeing a movie universe based on the book series she had written, and so she accepted the offer without hesitation and got involved in the project. The first show decided to make the book Interview with a Vampire, as it was a brilliant film adaptation in the 90’s and it is a favorite among viewers. And the next decided to screen less well-known works. The main role in the novelty of AMC will play Alexandra Dadario, her scene partner was Jack Huston. The Mayfair Witches series release date is expected to be January 5, 2023.
The main character of the new show is Rowan Fielding. The girl works as a neurosurgeon and is unaware of her family’s reputation. When she discovers a gift for decorating reality with a simple touch of an object, the heroine begins to figure out why things are happening and discovers that she and her sisters are witches. Along with this, she discovers the role of Lasher in the life of her family and the girl begins to look for ways to get rid of this addiction. The series release date is scheduled for January 5, 2022.
