Dark Winds – when is the release date?

In 2021, the AMC television channel announced work on the film adaptation of the popular detective novel by Graham Roland. Directed by Robert Redford, who previously filmed a series based on other works of the writer. Among the executive producers and famous science fiction writer George Martin, author of the acclaimed A Song of Ice and Fire. The release date of the series Dark Winds is set for June 12, 2022. The plot unfolds in the 1970s in the United States in the lands belonging to the Navajo tribes. According to the law of the country, indigenous people solve all the problems on the reservations by themselves, and the state police and other representatives of the law enforcement forces do not have the right to act on the territory of the tribes without permission. In the story, serial murders begin to occur on one of the reservations, gradually expanding into non-Indian territories as well. Two investigators Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee begin investigating and the discoveries they make will cause the partners to consider asking the authorities to help in the investigation. The investigation is not easy for the partners, there are many unclear moments in the case, there are no witnesses, and the heroes’ views on life greatly interfere. Joe is a 40-year-old policeman, he respects the achievements of science and progress and denies mystical beliefs and other features of his people. The current show has six episodes planned, but there is every chance of a sequel, as the Joe and Jim series has 18 books, and given their popularity in the United States, if the first season is successful, AMC is very likely to want to shoot a new season. The main roles in the novelty are played by Zahn McClarnon and Kayowa Gordon, in addition, viewers will see Noah Emmerich, Rayne Wilson and others on screen.
