The picture was popular and its laurels for many years did not give rest to filmmakers. In 2021, it became known that the show was getting a new adaptation in the form of a TV series. It is being filmed by Rollin Jones, and Anne Rice herself was asked to adapt the book. The release date for the series Interview with the Vampire is set for October 2, 2022, show novelty on AMC.
What do you think, is it worth filming a sequel, and what should be in it?
The plot of the project is built around the vampires Louis and Lestat. The story is shown in the form of memories of Louis telling a young reporter the story of his transformation into a vampire. The action begins in 1791, when young Louis, as a planter, blames himself for his brother’s suicide, which leads him to a binge and attempts to kill himself. In this state, the vampire Lestat finds him and turns him, and later settles on the hero’s plantation, feeding on the blood of his slaves.
Louis himself cannot accept what has happened and drinks the blood of the cows. The deaths of many of the blacks force those who remain to rebel and burn down the estate, and so Lestat and Louis escape to New Orleans. Here their cohabitation begins, which makes Louis increasingly hate his own maker. A new adaptation of an old story will take place on AMC, with a series release date set for October 2, 2022.

Louis tries to kill Lestat but is unsuccessful, so he tries to escape his revenge in Europe. Here the hero finds other vampires, but they suspect that the newcomer is in hiding and has done something. The unspoken rule of vampires states that any vampire who kills kin is subject to execution.
They try to force the hero to tell the truth, but Lestat shows up and demands that Louis return, which forces the guy to run away again. He decides to tell the story to a reporter to write a book and thereby warn naive people about how hard life as a vampire is, but the young man sees romance in the story and asks to be made a vampire. The hero gets angry and beats the reporter to escape, and the young man decides to go in search of Lestat, wanting to perform the rite of conversion.
The series release date for Interview with the Vampire will be in the fall of 2022. The primary source for the upcoming series is a cycle of 13 books, and therefore it is likely that, if successful, the project will receive a sequel. The main roles in the novelty are played by Jacob Anderson and Sam Reed. The show’s release date is October 2, 2022.
