Rangers of the New Republic – when is the release date?

Jon Favreau, an American actor, and screenwriter active in the Star Wars franchise told a TV show that Disney+ has impressive plans for television projects in the universe, and Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and the upcoming Asoka project are a start. The director has revealed that he is working on a Rangers of the New Republic series, which will be a logical continuation of said shows, summarizing them and continuing the story. The series began with the Mandalorian series in which the eponymous hero, who is a freelance mercenary from the planet Mandalore, is tasked with capturing a certain object needed by the surviving members of the Empire. Upon encountering the target, the hero realizes that it is an important creature and, moreover, a child, which leads him to the decision to terminate the contract and become a protector for the little Grogue.

Later he discovers that the child possesses the Force, and his falling into the hands of the Imperials may lead to another universal conflict. The decision to protect Groga binds Mandalorz to his fate, and now the man is responsible for the child until a new home can be found for him. Favreau revealed that the events of the upcoming series will take place after those shown in Return of the Jedi, directed by personal George Lucas in 1983. The action in the picture unfolds a couple of years before the series Mandalorian, and therefore the novelty could be its prequel. The show’s release date is 2023.

At the start of the television series and after the release of the first season of Mandaloretz, it was reported that the key character in New Republic Rangers would be the character Caracynthia Dune, whose role was played by Gina Cardano. But in 2021, the girl was caught up in a scandal, refusing to support the BLM and LGBT movements, which led to her dismissal from the project.
