The Fall of the House of Usher – when is the release date?

In 2021, Netflix acquired the rights to develop a mini-series based on the classic horror story The Fall of the House of Usher, written by cult writer Edgar Allan Paul. Mike Flanagan was entrusted with the filming of the show. It is known that several adaptations of the horror master’s works will be released under the same title, but it is not known which works will be included in the list.

Filming began in early 2022, and the release date of The Fall of the House of Usher is expected in 2023. The mini-series consists of eight episodes, four of which were shot by Flanagan himself, and four by his regular cinematographer Michael Fimognari. The story centers on an unnamed man who has received an invitation to visit the estate of an institute friend.

At the entrance to the estate, the hero is greeted by a gloomy landscape and an old house standing by a lake. Cracks diverge on its walls. Meeting a friend named Roderick Asher, the hero learns that he suffers from an illness that prevents him from leaving the house. All of the man’s senses are heightened, and he experiences an inexplicable fear.

Roderick tells him that his family has been suffering from a family disease for centuries, and the only living relative is the sister of the owner of the estate, who is one step away from death. Viewers will find out how the visit ends by watching The Fall of the House of Usher, which is scheduled to air in 2023.

The new series is the fifth and last joint project of the popular director and the Netflix streaming platform. The main roles are played by: Carla Gugino, Rahul Kohli, Henry Thomas and Kate Siegel. It is known that Mark Hamill also plays a role in the series, but his character remains a secret. The release date of the miniseries The Fall of the House of Usher will be in 2023.
