The Great season 3 – when is release date?

In 2008, the play Velikaya, which tells the story of Russian Empress Catherine the Great, was staged at the Sydney Theater. In 2018, it became known that Matt Schuckman would develop it, and in 2019 Hulu launched the production process. The first season was released in 2020, a year later viewers were presented with a sequel. In January 2022, representatives of the service told about the extension of the show, and the release date of season 3 of the series The Great is expected in the fall of 2022. It is known that the season will have 8 episodes, the plot is not disclosed.

The Great is a story about Catherine the Great and her struggle for the throne of the Russian Empire. The authors of the project and the service themselves emphasize that their series is not historical and certainly does not claim to be a documentary, you can not call it an alternative version. The most appropriate name for the show – anti-historical project, as the series is a comedy and some of the events contradict any logic. So in the aristocratic environment of the Russian Empire, you can see a lot of dark-skinned people, which in reality never happened. The main roles in the project were played by Nicholas Holt and Elle Fanning. Both actors have confirmed participation in the third season, its release date is expected in 2022.

The first season tells about the early years of the tsarina’s life in Russia and is dedicated to her relationship with her husband.
