Truth be told season 3 – when is the release date?

Apple TV has renewed the series Truth Be Told for a 3rd season, with a new episode release date expected in 2022. The third season will be directed by Mikkel Norgard. The lead role will return Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actress in a Supporting Role in The Servant, actress Octavia Spencer.

Poppy Parnell has always kept up with the times. Even as a child she used all sorts of technical innovations in her business – journalism. It was probably because of this that she was able to become so famous. Her first case was incredibly high-profile, about eighteen years ago she had helped police investigate the murder of Chuck Berham, and it was her testimony that helped the jury put Warren, the true, as she then thought, the killer behind bars.

As time went on, Poppy, once a journalist, became the host of a podcast on a popular service. She lives in love and peace with her husband, but something she learned does not give her peace of mind. In a seemingly solved case, nearly twenty years old, there are unrevealed details that turn the results of the investigation upside down.

The first bell rang after an interview with Warren’s mother, Melanie. The woman firmly believed that her son could not have committed the crime, and even found something, as circumstantial but proof of her son’s innocence. Suspicion of a mistake made when he was young is reinforced after talking to the victim’s daughters, the twin sisters Josie and Laney not living with relatives.

The woman decides to reopen the investigation to correct her mistake, but she is unexpectedly hindered by the father of the accused murderer, Owen. The latter has remarried and has made a pretty good career in the San Francisco Police Department, becoming chief of one of the precincts. He tries to stop her, not even to bend to pressure and harass her loved ones.
